Этот экзотический плод  имеет явно выраженную сезонность. На рынках он появляется поздней осенью, пик его качества, да и цены,  как раз в ноябре. Не пропустите, не то придется ждать следующего сезона.

 

Фейхоа — настоящий чемпион по содержанию йода, от  8 до 35 мг на 100г, при суточной потребности 0,15 мг. Один плод весит примерно 40г. Считайте. Бомба!

А вкус? М-мм! Необыкновенный, землянично-ананасовый.  Мне кажется, каждый попробовавший фейхоа, влюбляется в него навек. Пройти на рынке мимо у меня не получается никогда. Вот и этот раз прикупила и… наслаждаюсь.

Не сложные манипуляции. Сахар, чуть лимонного сока, блендер и лакомство готово.

Так делаю всякий раз. И что-нибудь еще, ведь прикупаю я ее не мало.  Попроще —это соус к мясным блюдам, посложнее  — чатни в индийском стиле  к тому же мясу или джем с пряностями. К сожалению фоток не сделала. Появятся, поделюсь. Этот раз — коктейль с мороженым. Просто. и вкусно.
