Обычно в такое время мы ездили в далекие теплые страны, поближе к морю, солнцу и фруктам. Но в этом году аномально долгое отсутствие зимы и снега, серость, слякоть и бесконечная кромешная темнота, когда просыпаясь в 10 часов утра невозможно понять ночь это или утро, вызвало острое желание зимней сказки с белоснежными снегами, елками, зимними катаниями и глинтвейном. И мы решили податься в горы. Не самые крутые, для новичков. Мы отправились в Болгарию.
Вот в такую сказку.
Болгария вообще удивительная стана. Такой маленький рай, где на небольшой территории кажется есть все: и горы, и обширные равнины с виноградниками и садами, и множество рек и озер, и длинная прибрежная полоса Черного моря. Здесь есть где отдохнуть в любое время года и, хотя, чаще всего Болгария воспринимается как морской курорт для летнего пляжного отдыха, здесь есть чем заняться и зимой. Здесь можно до умопомрачения накататься на лыжах, покоряя склоны многочисленных горнолыжных курортов страны.
А можно поближе познакомиться с прекрасными болгарскими городами с их древней историей и удивительной архитектурой.
Побродить по старому Пловдиву, возраст которого насчитывает более 6000 лет. Полюбоваться сохранившимися остатками античных времен:
каменной фракийской крепостью, опоясывающей узкие улочки более поздней застройки средних веков,
и античным театром.
Посмотреть наследие Османской империи, господствовавшей здесь целых пять веков. Вдали видна мечеть Джумая.
Да и просто прогуляться по пешеходным улицам в центре Пловдива, влившись в толпу его жителей и ощущая себя его неотъемлемой частью.
А ближе к вечеру взобраться на один из Пловдивских холмов и посмотреть на город с его высоты. Вдали на холме виднеется памятник русскому Алеше.

Из Пловдива можно проехать в еще один интересный город Болгарии, ее древнюю столицу, — Велико-Тырново.
Точный возраст города неизвестен, первые упоминания о нем относятся к XII веку, когда город стал центром восстания. Надо полагать, до этого времени он уже существовал.
Город настолько своеобразный и притягательный, что покоряет безоговорочно и сразу. Раскинувшись на горных склонах вдоль протекающей в ущелье реки Ятры, он нависает над нею своеобразным амфитеатром, выступающим прямо из гор.
Каждая улочка – это ступенька с уникальными строениями. Нагуляться по ним нам не хватило и двух дней.
Интересна и самая древняя часть города, она стоит немного особняком, но, как и весь город, доступна для обозрения.
Взобравшись на гору, можно побродить по территории бывшей резиденции болгарских царей. Это крепость Царевец. На самом ее верху величественно возвышается патриаршая церковью Св. Вознесения Господня.
А спустившись вниз к реке, прогуляться по не менее интересному району древних ремесленников Асенова-махала.
И так же, как в Пловдиве, можно обозреть Велико-Тырново и его окрестности взобравшись на самую высокую точку в этом районе, облюбованную когда-то самим Тодором Живком.
Это поселок Арбанаси и вид на город с террасы бывшей резиденции бывшего главы Болгарии. Что называется – “Над облаками”.
А в Бургасе в это время можно захватить настоящий кусочек лета. Пусть бабьего, но все-же.
Прогуляться по набережной, полюбоваться морскими пейзажами, вдохнуть упоительный влажный воздух и с удовольствием ощутить на лице дуновения теплого ветерка.
В конце концов, посидеть в прибрежном кафе любуясь морской далью и наслаждаясь этим неожиданно выпавшим кусочком лета. Не сон ли это?
А чтобы окончательно убедиться, в том, что это, все-таки, правда, пройтись по людным улицам Бургаса, наблюдая, как бойко работают под открытым небом уличные кафешки города и как не торопясь, за общением, попивают в них кофе счастливые бурговчане.
Это была зимняя Болгария.
Ой, какая прелесть. Как захотелось обратно вернуться хоть на мир в этот рай 🙂 Болгария очень интересная страна.
